“ We enjoyed our drinks and dinner at The Establishment very much! Shane welcomed us with tremendous warmth as usual and introduced us to the great barmen where we sat to have dinner. Cory and Darren made our drinks perfectly and helped us order our meal as well as a good bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. For starters we shared the mussels, chicken liver mousse and bread service with marrow butter and olive oil. A very delicious start! We each had the Moqueca de Peixe, which was out of this world!!! We've ordered it before and it's been consistently full of fresh seafood in an amazingly flavorful tomato based broth. A side of patatas bravas with garlic aioli was a sublime accompaniment. All the food temps were perfect. The entire staff is wonderful and works together to get the plates out in a timely manner so we had no complaints about cooled foods which is a pet peeve of ours. The restaurant is beautiful as well as the bar. No loud awful music and the acoustics are great. We love when we go on Saturdays and get to hear terrific live music during dinner. We live in the neighborhood and The Establishment is an absolute favorite of ours that never disappoints. Many Thanks for a fabulous evening complete with new lovely friends we met at the bar. ”

“ Was in town for an (Indian!) wedding...all 3 1/2 incredible days of it. Had the first night out on our own and got a table at The Establishment to celebrate being there. Absolutely loved our server, Nathan, who we ran into a couple of nights later when the wedding party was out, late night bar-hopping. The food was excellent. Our favorite, their house-made pasta. “ What stood out was the service. I called a couple days ahead since our party was larger than the website would accommodate for a resy. While their new system was not sending texts to put a card on file, the hostesses assured me we'd be well taken care of and we indeed were. Nathan was our server and he was fantastic- great energy and great recs. We had many things brought to our table from tasters to entrees to dessert- the average rating was a 7.5/10 from our group of 5. The Poet cocktail is crazy good. The gnocchi with crab- outstanding. “ Best dinner in Charleston! The General Manager gave us an incredible table next to the pass to watch all the food come out of kitchen. We all enjoyed appetizers, mains, desserts and their wine program with impeccable table service. “ I attended the Gin Dinner which included 7 courses and a handful of gin cocktails and sidecars from around the world. Service was great as usual. I didn't expect it to be so educational and performative so that was different. The salmon, eggplant, and lamb press were so amazing. The homemade ice cream in the root beer float was some of the best ever. A fun concept with excellent execution. ”

“ A group outing led us to The Establishment along the Broad Street corridor in downtown Charleston. A spacious, wooden interior with plenty of room for conversation, awards and speeches. And the food was spectacular! I got the squash soup, a green salad and the swordfish entree with pesto over beans. Every bite was flavorful and fancy. I finished the dinner with a mug of homemade vanilla ice cream and an extra mug of sorbet (I'm a sucker for sweets). The Establishment is definitely worth a visit if you want high-end dining in Charleston. ”
